    Sunset Sound is a small business owned and operated by Matt Stairs out of Virginia Beach Virginia. Sunset Sound has been providing live event audio services in the Tidewater region for over twenty years. While  working at many different  venues  Sunset Sound has provided audio services for both regional and touring professionals alike. Since 2005  audio visual system design and installation has become a growing part  of the serivce that Sunset Sound provides. Matt served for 16 years as the head of the audio ministry at a large church in Chesapeake Virginia. This ministry experience has given Sunset Sound a unique view point on how to help religious organizations accomplish their audio visual goals. 

    Sunset Sound has also been involved in many regional theatrical events at  venues such as: The Roper Theatre, The Virginia Stage Company, Chrysler Hall, The Virginia Beach Museum For the Contemparary Arts, and The Sandler Center. Some of the plays that Sunset Sound is credited for Sound Design on are: Five Guys Named Mo, Cats, Miss Saigon, Forever Plaid, Charlie Brown, Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Smokey Joe's Cafe,Titanic, Cabaret, Midsummers Night Dream with the Virginia Symphony, Swingtime Salute, and The Tempest.

    Furthermore, Sunset Sound  has provided audio for more than three hundred military ceremonies. These ceremonies have involved  government officials such aa: Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, Secretary of The Navy Ray Mabus, Chief of Naval Opertions Admiral Gary Roughead, Chief of Naval Operations Admiral John Greenert, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullens, President Bill Clinton, President George H.W Bush, and First Lady Michelle Obama.
